Udow Ventures

David Udow

Serial entrepreneur. Proven operator.
Looking to acquire my next business.

Thirty years founding, acquiring, and building businesses across BC. I take well-run companies and make them significantly better — through systems, culture, and customer experience.

Operator. Builder. Acquirer.

In 2000, I co-founded Ziptrek Ecotours in Whistler from scratch — no infrastructure, no playbook, no team. We built it into one of the most recognized adventure tourism brands in North America. By the time I transitioned to the board in 2012, the company had grown to over 100 seasonal employees and was running profitably without daily founder involvement. That's what I build toward: organizations that run well without depending on any single person. I remain an active Board Director and shareholder today.

In 2014, I acquired Pink Solution, an eco-friendly consumer cleaning brand sold nationally across Canada. I rebuilt the operating model, tripled revenue through product expansion and channel development, and executed a full exit in 2021.

Most recently, I served as Integrator (COO) at Jetstream Hospitality Solutions, a Vancouver-based hospitality SaaS company, where I owned all operational functions during a period of restructuring and sale preparation. I built company-wide accountability systems, rebuilt customer onboarding, and led the team through a sustained period of margin improvement.

Through Udow Ventures, I now hold and manage this portfolio while actively seeking my next acquisition. My edge is making good organizations significantly better — not rescuing broken ones or building new ones from scratch.

The right business to run and grow.

I'm looking for a BC-based business to acquire and operate. Here's exactly what that looks like.

Established and profitable
Not a turnaround. The business is already working — it just hasn't been fully optimized. Good bones, loyal customers, real cash flow.
20–40 employees with a team in place
Enough organizational complexity that leadership matters. Management or a strong #2 already on the ground — not a business that collapses when the owner leaves.
Recurring or repeat revenue
Contracts, subscriptions, or deeply embedded customer relationships. Not a project-by-project or hourly billing model. Customers come back.
A founder ready for what's next
I'm looking for someone who built something real and is starting to think about the next chapter — not a distressed exit. The business should reflect what they've built.
BC-based, or remote-operable
I'm based in Lions Bay. Sea to Sky corridor and Metro Vancouver / North Shore are the natural territory. Open to remote-operable businesses further afield.
A clear path to growth
There should be obvious opportunities the current owner hasn't fully pursued — technology modernization, systems improvement, customer experience, or new channels. That's where I create value.

Let's talk.

If you represent a business that fits, or you know someone who might — I'd genuinely appreciate an introduction. I respond personally to every message.
